Wax recommendation?

Well I spent all day yesterday detailing my NBP '04 TL and I'd like a recomendation for a wax/sealant to use.

I used a UDM (which is failing after only half a days work!) and Pinnacle XMT #3, #2, #1 and finally their finishing glaze. I'd still like to put an additional wax/sealant on it, but I don't know which one. I was going to put some Megs Gold Class on it since that is what I had in the garage from previous cars, but if there is something better, I'd like to se that.

I've been reading a lot and I was leaning towards Megs #26, or NXT.

I'm fairly new to all this so I'm looking for a little expert advice.

Thanks!

There has to be something wrong with your machine. Can you send it back for an exchange?

.

Is this a polymer sealant or a carnuba wax? If it's a polymer I would suggest putting Four Star UPP on it. It's very slick and is very long lasting.

For a definitive answer though, you should ask exceldetail, he is a member and KNOWS HIS STUFF!

The UDM is fully warranted for 1 year. Simply email or call them (If you need that info I can certainly provide it for you) They will excahnge with inkind machine i.e. Refurb with a refurb, new for new.
As for the XMT, I believe the #'s 1-2-3- are the polishes. You can, (although I wouldnt) add UPP w/Polycharger atop, but it sustains better on a sterile or cured environment. By far the best sealant I have used.

if you have polished the car but not sealed or waxed your work, then you need to do it pretty quick...dont leave a polished surface unsealed or waxed....

i hope not, i just got mine, and since i only plan on using it on my car, i might only get a chance to use it 2 maybe 3 times in a year, so if it craps out after that year, i guess i am crap out as well....on another note, my friend down the street just replaced his pc with a udm, and his pc was only a year or soo old having only been used maybe 6 times and it crapped out....that sucks too...

I've noticed that too. Glad I got a PC. But if the PC craps out on me, I'm gonna get me a flex.

Dale, cry foul on that!! New ALWAYS gets replaced with NEW. Sometimes (Ive seen this happen before) if you order a refurb, and they're out, they will ship you a new one. I wonder if this is what happened with you order? You ordered refurb, and they shipped a new one? Did you register it?
Please register your machines folks! I have had mine ever since inception and its still running strong. It was actually a pre-release model, and the only issue I ever had with it was the switch being a little touchy (which has since been redesigned).
I think theres a new model coming out in July of this year as well. BUT, the price will reflect some enhancements as well.
