Wash after claying?
Hey Guys,
Quick question that I havn't seen answered, After you've washed your car and clayed it with lubricant, do you wash the car again? Or just wipe off the lubricant and start polishing?
Also do you generally clay the entire car, or just the front hood and bumber area?

I wash the entire car, clay while the car is wet and then wash it again. It's a precaution to make sure I have any grime and/or clay residue removed before I start polishing.
I usually clay the entire car 2 or 3 times a year. I will spot clay from time to time where it's needed.
It's all a matter of preference and what you find will work for you.

clay as you're washing the vehicle and use the soap as your lubricant. most clay companies throw in a bottle of lube but it never seems to be quite enough to do the entire car. so to save money on buying lube it is much easier this way. then just rinse the panel when youre finished and move on to the next one. its probably not a good idea to waste your good shampoo such as Perls or Z-7 or Four Star on claying so you can just use the cheap stuff like Meguires Gold Class to do the job.
