The Ultimate Car Wash Nozzle

Do you think this sucker is worth 40-bucks ???
I'm always breaking those cheap 5-dollar nozzles and I think I might be better off with an “indestructible” one.

Isn’t a pressure washer a bit HARSH to use on a car ???
I have one, but I use it to clean the decks & sidewalks.

Never considered blasting the car with it.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer wants a more powerful shower head and ends up with something like these that they use at the circus to clean Elephants

The ones straight from Poland...

Shawn, using powerwashers for your car is actually better than a regular hose, especially if your doing the engine. Just make sure you don't full blast it. Head on over to www.autopia-carport.com to learn more about it. They are moving the server right now though so it may be down.

That is the exact same one I have. I have it turned up to the highest setting.....i just am careful about how far I keep it from the car. It is real cool. I rinse it down. Then put it on the low setting....at this setting it sucks in the soap ( i use some carwash soap with wax in it....carwash (as in the carwash)stuff, and then rinse it off at high pressure again. I take a small white towl and run it across next to a wheel well to make sure there is no dirt on the car before i start dying it. Then it is the abosrber and a nice soft cotton towel after that.

It is great for getting the brake dust off the wheels, cleaning the tires, wheels wells. I don't have to use any chemicals for anything.

Shawn you could use your leafblower after washing it and you will hve never touched your car at all!! Perfect!!

I thought of that, but I’ll have to consult with the Zaino God’s first and see.

Shawn,

My mother-in-law bought us two of those exact nozzles just for the hell of it because she swears they are the best nozzle she has ever used. I would have to agree! Absolutly no leakage what-so-ever and a shapable stream. You can drop them on the cement and they just bounce. They are heavy and solid and you can tell that they are high quality.

OOh yeah

Well if it makes you feel like a man because you got a pressure washer then wait till you get a nice chip in your clear coat and you end up peeling back the clear coat from the pressure washer....LOL.. ouchie...j/k

Shawn I use a Nos made by a company called GREEN THUMB, it is black and has a rubber handle and tip, so you can slam it to the ground and still won't break... 8 bucks, cast iron guts.. light yet solid as a rock..

i dont know about some of the CHEAP pressure washers some of you dudes have but mine has a few settings so i dont spray TOO hard on the paint...i always blast the shit out of the windows and wheel wells, but for the paint i turn it down a notch or 2 to prevent the aforementioned clear coat removal

What size power washer do I need to get?

Here is what I basically want to do. Get rid of dirt/moss in parking spots and on sidewalk. Maybe clean the cars with it. That's about it. Would an electric one be good enough?

I just used some tire cleaner and then pressure washed my wheels, they came out like showroom new. I used a small 1560 PSI electric one, they work nicely for the car.

Guy at work used a karcher on his teg and it blew the paint right off the front bumper. I will stick to a wash mitt & bucket. Pressure washer for my Pathfinder after a day's muddin' though!

Target has a fireman's type nozzle that I have been using for a little over a year now. Best thing I have ever used, and it cost me all of $10.

No attachments is good for rinsing the car. I use a nozzle to get dirt off, then rinse the car without an attachment. Works really well, 90% of the water just sheets right off.

There is a lot of evidence that using high pressure (even from nozzles on garden hoses) breaks the water into smaller and smaller droplets as the pressure goes up, which makes it harder to dry off the car. If you look at water droplets after using the hose without an attachment vs. a droplet which has some out of a "jet" setting from one of the nozzles you can see that with the naked eye.

I don't use a nozzle either so there's at least three of us now

I use the nozzle to wash, and either remove it to let water sheet of, or adjust the nozzle to a setting which does an almost as good a job.

I definitely always use a nozzle to clean. The pressure works well to get crud off the car especially on the lower body panels, and bird crapp as well.

A WORD OF CAUTION!!!!

With using power washers.......be very carefull to inpect your paint ahead of time for cracks or chips....because if there are cracks and chips power washing might make it worst.

I have a power washer....but it is the industiral type with a massive motor and 2300+ PSI.... so personally i'm gonna stick with my regular hose and good old elbow greese
