Turtle Wax Ice liquid polymer polish

I just picked up some Turtle Wax Ice, it is a liquid polymer polish. It is clear and water like, very thin. It says you can apply it to all surfaces except glass and it will not leave a residue and will actually shine rubber, plastic, and other trim pieces. It also states it can be applied to a hot surface in the sun with no ill effects. I bought it at AutoZone for 16.99 and it came with a MF towel and foam applicator pad and 16oz of ICE liquid polish. I have never heard or seen this before and wanted to get some input so I know what to expect.

There are a few threads on the Meguiars forums about this. Appears to be difficult to remove when applied in the sun, provides less gloss/shine than NXT (NXT was used as a comparison as you would expect on a Meguiars forum) and dramatically inferior durability.

For me, Turtle Wax as an OTC brand is way down there below Meguiars, Mothers and Eagle One.

Personally, with OTC products, I would've gone with Mother's. Start with Cal Gold Pre Wax cleaner and top it with their Reflection line - Advanced Car Wax and Advanced Top Coat. With online products, you have a number of polymer products to choose from and basically at the same cost or close to it.

well I used it today and it works pretty good, although the 3-5min drying time indicated on the bottle is way off. You need to let it dry for a good 20-30 mins for it to come off easy otherwise it just smears and I didn't put a thich coat on, but it could have been thinner. Overall it produced a very nice shine. It's reflectiveness is very good and the paint feels smoth like NXT would. Overall my experience was very good. It hides scratches and swirls pretty damn good and even cleans tails and headlights well. I feel it is a good product and is very easy to apply.

I saw this today at store. I like Turtle's pricing. Because I was my car fairly often, I'd rather put cheap stuff on often than use higher priced stuff twice a year.
