TL Front Grill and Rims

I was wondering what everyone is using to clean/polish the chrome grill and rims of their 09 TL.

I bought some never dull but wasnt sure if I could/should use it on the front grill. I would think the rims are okay but you never know.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

So you definitely would avoid never dull? If so, what do you see this as a good use for?

I'm not certain but I think the chrome grill on your TL really isn't chrome. Using a metal polish on it would probably harm it if that's the case.

I'd assume it would be the same finish as the TSX? In this post a chrome polish damaged the grille on a TSX

NeverDull is a cotton wadding that is used to clean up chrome or any metal surface.

If you have an 09 then put a few layers of a sealant on the wheels and just use a dedicated sheepskin mitt on them. Unless your neglecting them there is no need for cleaners.

Never Dull is actually better on bare metals......all it really is is mineral spirits in a recycled cotton. Nothing unusual about MS in car care products........not the best for plastic though.

What is the front grille and rims made of? Is the grille some sort of aluminum?

How about the rims, are they alloy? Just trying to understand all this stuff.

Thanks,

Well I know the wheels are steel or Aluminum or an alloy. As for the grill, I cant vouch for its makeup......But, the VMW is great on everything on a car. Even the rubber moulding...

I haven't got around to buying what you suggested but since I already have a number of waxes, will either of these work or is what you suggested the best.

I have optimum poli-seal and pinnacle souveran wax.

Also, In addition to the plastic metal in the front and back there is a lot around the windows. Would you also clean this metal that way or another way.

Thanks
