Tire/Rubber Protectant & Tire Dressing Question

Hi everyone,

So, I was reading about using a rubber protectant on the tires so they don't get dried out, etc. First, can you use 303 Protectant on the tires? I think you can...

So, whatever it is I use to protect the rubber, can you apply tire dressing after that, or should I wait a week or so?

Thanks,
Steve

You could use 303.....I usually use more shine less time tire dressing and wipe the rim after I spray each wheel and let the car sit for a good while so it doesn't "spit" on the car

Rubber Protectant and Tire Dressing can be one in the same. Most dressings offer some protection.
303 is an excellent protective product, but its known for its lack of prescence......I wouldnt apply a protectant atop the 303.......

Gotcha, thanks guys. From reading on various detialing websites, I found that it's important to keep the tires moisturized to avoid, cracking, discoloration, etc. I love the look of the tires on my new car, especially with tire shine, compared to the tires on my old CL.

I used tire shine on those, but not any more than 1 a month, then virtually not at all in the winter time. I bet it's the winter that really got to those tires, with all the salt here in Chicago, it probably ate away at them...
