Swirls on freshly painted trunk?

So my trunk was recently repaired/painted. When I got the car I noticed there were some swirls on the trunk. Can I polish these out or use some scratch X on the paint or should I leave it alone for a few months and then try to attack it? I know sealing/waxing is a big nono with fresh paint, but what about polish?

Most polishes contain oils which will evaporate over a brief period of time, but its still best to wait at least 30 days. Ask the paint shop who painted it though to be certain. Nothing like asking the folks who do it for a living......
If it was me, I would wait.....
