Small Vacuums

I'm looking to pic a vacuum just for the car. The problem is, I have a tiny one car garage which makes any "normal" sized shop vac out of the question. I'd like something with a bit more power than a cordless handheld though. Anybody ever come across aything that fits this bill? So far, the only thing I've seen is a small capacity 5 HP model from Rigid at Home Depot. The poblem is, it doesn't look like it comes with a brush which I'd like for the seats.

My parents have a little "Red Devil" canister vac on wheels with all the attachments. Rolls around really nicely, compact, and doesnt take up much space. Dont know model or anything, but it's pretty nice particularly if you're gonna use it indoors (I use it on the driveway from time to time, but it's not really indoor/outdoor).

I have a canister vacuum cleaner from 1980-something called a "Princess". It's pretty small, has numerous attachments and it SUCKS big time I use this vacuum whenever I wash cars (I wash cars during the summer) and it does miracles. It sucks up anything--I had to de-clog it once because the hose took more than it could handle.

Go to a vacuum store and try to find one of these things, used. Or ask what they recommend...I know that Miele vacuums are really compact.

Looks great, but I just can't see myself shelling out that kind'a bread for a car vac. If I was a pro detailer that might be another thing but I'm just Joe Average. I like Spudmtn's idea of hitting a vacuum store. The thought never even crossed my mind.

Yep, I guess I can toss it in the dream file. They do make a junior version for half the price. But I'm sure you'll get what you need at a local store.

It actually seems like a pretty good buy, if it is super powerful...all I know is that some vacuum cleaners can cost you upwards of $400

Are those "Tiger Shark" vacuum cleaners any good? You know the "as seen on tv" ones with supposedly excellent suction. I am looking at maybe buying a dyson. It's like $500, but it supposed to be really well built and never loses suction, lifetime hepa filter, and various attachments.
