People here are more partial to a number of other brands, but it should be adequate depending on how bad your swirling is. pics?

ED, I have a couple on-going threads, as a newbie here....

I have a brand new 09 TSX, Crystal Pearl Black.

I don't have any good up-close pics, but as I am purchasing a light today, I should have some pics soon.

Don't know if you read my other thread, but I tried polishing on Sunday, and the first time round it didn't work very well.

Now this MAY be because I didn't work the polish all the way down, so I'm going to try again today.

A few people though, were pointing out that this polish is a finishing polish, and is recommended with a very light finishing pad.

Someone else pointed out to me that even still, this polish should have enough abrasives to get rid of the swirls, and is a good choice for Honda paint.

My being a newbie, know nothing.

This is a cut & paste from thier page

"Pro-Polish is a ultra-fine true polish that contains no grit abrasives" ... so I don't see how its going to correct.

It sounds to me its like some of the other chemical cleaners.

"You will instantly see a brighter cleaner finish even after the first use, even if you use it by hand. "

You won't correct swirling and scratches by hand .. to me another thing saying its more of a cleaner.

BTW didn't you already ask this in another thread?

Jess, this subject came up in the other thread, but as I got a few contrasting opinions, and one of them in a PM, I thought I'd devote a separate thread to just this one issue.

I don't mean to cloud up the forum, but I'd like to get more feedback, because I'm getting different opinions.

Even Patrick seemed to indicate, that this CG Pro Polish, should be enough for the swirls.

Aye ya yeye!

I'm going round and round in circles, and I'm frustrated!!!!!!

I know it did ... and you might be clouding the issue for yourself. Your going to get different opinions on every product used.

I'd like to suggest you slow down and take baby steps and deal with 1 issue at a time.

And if the CG guy de-emphasizes the importance of good lighting I'm a little suspect that it was to sell product.

Thanks Jess.

I'm on a mission to get rid of these webs though, because from what I've learned, is that in order to do a good detail job, and apply all the products, you have to do good work with each step.

So I feel comfortable with the washing and claying, but at the polish step, I'm hitting a wall.

If it IS the type of polish (CG Pro Polish) that is the source of my problem, then that would explain why I'm stuck.

It really sucks being a newbie, because you're trying to be polite and respectful, but at other times you get suspicious with people telling you stuff.

There might have been good intentions when this product was suggested, but at the same time the intentions might NOT have been noble.

The only way for me to find out what's what, is by asking questions.

I AM learning a lot.....

And when that take on the lighting was brought up, it made me VERY suspicious.

I think you want to step up to a more aggressive polish and pad
