Rock chips----Paints sucks

I went through a wash yesterday so I could actually have a cleaner car and found several CHIPS probably from rocks and I see rust where the paint was. Does anybody know the best way to get rid of this before I use touch paint or a pen.

Has any used this stuff?

Yikes.

I can't see how rust remover could be good for your existing paint.

I would do it.

For a temporary fix, see if you can find 3M's Rust Avenger. It's a pen type product that you dab on little surface rust spots (ie rock chips). It has some chemical reaction with the rust and turns it black. This will at least slow down the spreading of the rust before you can properly repair it.

I have a small chip in my hood that started to get surface rust, I put this on, it turned black and is holding pretty well (that wuz like 2 years ago).
Hope this helps
