Rain Hate Thread!!!
First of all....If you live in an area where its sunny and beautiful all the time F*@# You!!
If you live in the Northeast US particularly New England….then you know what I mean. The forecast for the rest of this week is RAIN….and the forecast for this weekend it RAIN….and guess what its like outside…RAIN.
It Rained last weekend and the weekend before that and the weekend before that and the weekend before that…NO JOKE…We are goin into the 5th or 6th weekend with RAIN straight.
I haven’t been able to wash my car in over 3 weeks and I haven’t even been able to use my polish and wash kit I bought…(its just sitting here collecting dust still in its sealed packets).
PS its still in the 50s here even though we are half way through spring….I LOVE IT!! (that was exaggeration if you didn’t catch it)

I've tried a nock-off version of rain-x and it didn't work as well and also smeared a lot. I like rain-x on my windows; you don't have to re-apply it that often other than the front windshield when you use your wipers (I try to avoid that and can when traveling greater than 35-40mph in the rain w/ rain-x)
Although some people don't like it on the front winshield because it streaks some at night with street lights and wipers, doesn't bother me though.
Hope this helps.

BUt my only question would using a window cleaner (stoner, windex) on the rainx take it off or is it safe to use the cleaner without worring about recoating with rainx

I use Zaino on my glass with pretty good results. It seems to go a few months with some good beading. It's pretty kool to watch the water roll off the windshield when it rains. As far as cleaning protected glass with a glass cleaner, eventually it'll wear on the protectant. I usually just clean it with regular washing (aim for weekly). Someone posted that they had Zaino streak on the windshield. Like I said, I've had good luck with it....maybe it has to do with cure time....not sure.
As for the rain rant.....yes, it's been ugly in NY lately....all this week and weekend .....rain. I have to paint the house this weekend anyways. I'm on 16 days without a wash......horrid.

It might lessen it a little, but I use stoner on all my windows and the side and rear windows are still beading nicely after a couple of washes. Seems like the windshield wipers take it off more than any cleaner does

im in jersey so pretty much the same. its been raining on and off for the last two weeks straight.. and for the next ten days, sporadic thunderstorms. guess what? when its just slightly drizzling in the morning, i still wash my car. im crazy about keeping my car clean so i got used to it. waking up 7 every morning, in my sweats and hoodie, washing the car while feezing when i know its gonna rain for the rest of the day. but i just give it quickie washes during rainy times just to get the green polon stuff off. and on really bright sunny days, full detailed wash!!!
