Yeah it technically is but what I meant is they don't have a full lineup of paint correction products. Zaino is more for regular maintenance and protection.

how have you personally found it to correct with a PC and another product and then protect and just maintain with Zaino...it is a painstaking process...but I've never seen the water beading up and the paint feel like it does now. I AM a novice, but I can tell this stuff seems to protect very well. I can actually wipe bug guts off the front and leave nothing on the paint...just with my finger.

I guess I want to eventually take it to the next level and correct the paint completely.

There are products that can protect just as well Zaino and some Zaino guys like to really layer it on their car with several layers. Of course it's all subjective.

I hope this was the type of response you're looking because I'm not quite sure if I understood your question correctly.

Rereading my question, I'm not sure I even understand it. Lol...
I guess I was asking if you thought it a good idea to use another brand to do correction and then finish off with Zaino for protection. I love the Zaino...and supposedly it'll protect for longer than most other ones.

Main point I guess is to not be married to any one brand for the whole process. Better to find which one does each thing best and work with that. I'll probably enjoy my layer of Z2 I put on last night for a while before I strip it all off and get a PC.

Yeah you can definitely do paint correction with any brand and finish it off with any brand. This is what makes detailing so fun and enjoyable.

But yeah, always keep an open mind. Some prefer to "stick with what works" but I'm always striving for the best product that's easy to apply/use/remove and is cost-effective.

Well put, sir!

I'll have to figure out what the best and easiest is for paint correction then. Then I'll finish off with Zaino until I run out.

I guess, to a certain degree, it's subjective. Because the more effort you put into something the more you want to think it worked or looks amazing. Since zaino is complicated and labor intensive...it's the "best". I'm sure I'll love all sorts of products as I get more into it.

EXACTLY............You'd be amazed at what a $9.00 bottle of DG 105 will do......

Sorry....Duragloss 105 TPP (Total Performance Polish) Not really a polish at all. More like a light paint cleaner with Polymer Protection. One of the better economical sealants out there actually.....

So it polishes and seals at the same time? That sounds pretty great!

I was being sarcastic about the dolce! Lol...glad you figured that out. Thank you though.

It doesnt polish, although its called a "Polish" its not. Duraglosses nomenclature is rather strange. DG 105 does not contain abrasives, its actually a paint cleaner, and protectant. and a very good one at under $10.00.

So what do you personally use right before the DG105 then? To remove swirls etc. Is there another cheap alternative made by duragloss, or otherwise?

Gotta go with an abrasive polish, of your choice. I like the Optimum Compound and Optimum Polish.

Probably depends on the level of correction needed - compound for more severe; polish for "normal" or less severe.

If more severe, I assume Compound then Polish, then Wax/AIO and/or FSP.

Thank you very much! That's what I'll end up getting once I run out of Zaino...or maybe I'll use this for correction and then use zaino to seal it up and protect.
