Possible Group Buy: Meguiar's Orbital Buffer

Just thought I'd pass this along…

I'm planning on buying a TSX this fall, and I wanted to make sure I had the tools and knowledge to take care of the appearance of the car. As a result, I've been reading the posts at www.meguiarsonline.com.

The one thread that has generated a lot of responses and anticipation is the possibility of a group buy / special package deal for the Meguiar's (Porter-Cable) Random Orbital buffer. This offer is for all Meguiar's Online members.

Anyway, I wanted to pass along the information.

The thread is at the address below:

Quick update... If anyone has tried to access www.meguiarsonline.com in the past week or so, it has been down... Long story short a cable was cut and they then suffered a hard drive crash... More info at www.autopia.org

Yes, it is. If I remember correctly, it's the Porter Cable 7424. Basically these can be had at local hardware stores and other on-line detail sites much cheaper than what Meguiar's usually sells them for...

The main difference is a "no questions asked" lifetime warranty.

Overall, I think those watching the thread are curious to see if Meguiar's will bring the price down or will throw in "product" to make it a good deal.

Sorry to get your hopes up, but it appears that the group buy through Meguiar's has been put on hold.

If I hear of anything/updates I'll post it.
