Polished lip question

I recently bought some black rims with a polished lip. I washed the car and now the polished part has spots on them. What's the best thing I can buy w/out damaging the aluminum polish ??

They were dried when I noticed the spots on each rim. I went to Strauss and bought some shit that cleans chrome but it did not work.

Never dull.

Keep in mind, polished wheels are prone to pitting, I have them on my other car, after 30K miles, my wheels have dark micro-spots all over. Big reason I went with chrome on my CL versus polished wheels.
