Paint Chip Fix

Paint Chip Fix
Well, 4 weeks after I buy my TL and one night before a clear bra install I get hit on my bumper and hood with a rock. I cancelled the clear bra to get the chips fixed at my local Acura dealer first. Turns out a service they use to fix chips were still there and quoted $110 to fix the chips. I left the car later that week and when I picked it up the service advisor suggested I look at the car before paying. I couldn't believe what I saw. These guys had just dabbed some dark blue paint (no metallic) on the spots and called it good. The indentions were still there! They called over the service manager and before I even said anything he told me there was no charge as he had already told the repair guys he wasn't going to charge a customer for what little they did.
The question is this. I think I can do a better job myself. The service manager said that they would need to repaint the entire hood and bumper which they would do for around $375. The chip is less than 1/8" long by 1/16" wide. Is there a good way to use actual Acura touch up paint to fill in the chip and sand it down and rub it out?
