The pains of working at a dealer lol

So we all know how terrible dealership car washers/detailers are right?

well i work at one during the winter a couple nights a week for extra money and dont know how much more i can take

Watching people buy the "Simoniz" protection package for hundreds of dollars and then watching the employees not even put it on correctly or at all. the other night we were about done for the night when a jeep came back to us to gett the simoniz, the manager said "They want it back fast, just spray some stuff inside so it smells different and dont even do the outside, just wipe it down with a rag" WHAT?!?! I mean i know the simoniz shit is a joke anyway, but still they jsut paid all that money and didnt even get it put on??

Plenty other horror stories, just had to get that one off my chest lol

Ya its a rip off .. I see the results all the time. Sealant in the seams.. on the plastic. Gobbed everywhere. Marring from trying to rub it off with a shop rag ..

We live in a small town and managed to get the word out that its a rip off.

They want $300 to $600 for the "Paint Protection Package" and I tell them if they bring me the car brand new before it has swirls installed we will do it for $100 and they get #105 or Megs #21 which is better than the dealer crap anyway and the surface is prepped properly for max life.

yeah we use to put the stuff on the tops(hood roof trunk) of all the cars we got at the acura dealer that would be sitting at the storage lot. thats about all it was good for, incase of bird crap sitting on it for a while or acid rain. besides that, its hard to watch people spend that kind of money on junk

that is just sad... i would report that to the media... but then you may lose your job... still wrong for the consumer though...

i went to watch them prep the car when i bought it... i tried to get there to tell the guys to just cleanup the inside and not touch the outside, but they already washed it by the time i got to the garage...

next time i know...

they really need windows in the waiting area, so you can see into the bay where they work on all the cars.

they might be nice to your car if you are watching, but you should also be able to see what they do to others' cars when they are not there
