Unhappy Oxidation / checking / crows feet / clear coat failure

I've learned a good lesson on taking care of the car better. Just wanted to share some pics to contribute some knowledge to the AZ forums of what...
A.) Oxidation looks like and...
B.) What I've come to learn is "checking" aka "crows feet" aka CLEAR COAT FAILURE
This is from the roof of my NGP '03 TL-S. Oxidation on left and clear coat failure beginning on the right.

This is from the hood of my car showing more "crows feet"

Oooh...so that's what that is...I have that at the bottom corner of my drivers side door. Crappy thing is that I've got an 05 TSX...definitely shouldn't be happening to a barely 3 year old car.

Tried buffing out with a PC...doesn't really do anything for me...

Yuck, crow's feet just makes me shudder sometimes. It looks so nasty on vehicles to me. It kind of makes me just want to wet sand it down so it disappears, LoL. The visual appearance would be better but you wouldn't have much protection left, if any at all.

Yeah. FYI, this is after using UDM, orange pad, and compound/polish/seal. Apparently a lot of new civics have been having this problem and some dealerships have repainted under warranty. That's about as much as I could find online about a widespread problem.
