New car detail 2013 TL SH-AWD

My new 2013 TL SHawd with Tech.

Enjoy-

I didnt realize how bad the swirls where on this paint till I washed, decon, and clayed. For a brand new car it makes me question the dealerships wash techniques.

Well here is some pics of the exterior, I will get some good interior pics tomorrow.

Since I am moving back to FL soon I took most of my detail supplies back and used what I had here.

First I applied Blackfire Total Polish and Seal with green LC pad, then I applied a coat of Blackfire Wet Diamond. Let the car sit overnight and applied a coat of Blackfire BlackIce and managed to drop my jar of Blackice, and cracked the pot and lost a good chunk of it.

Wheels and tires cleaned with Blackfire Eclipse tire cleaner then the tires got 2 coats of the eclipse tire gel and wheels got Blackfire Crystal Seal.

Not the best shots, when I do a full correction ill get some good ones.

Still swirled but paint does a good job of hiding them

Ouch... that's a pretty expensive wax.
But the car is beautiful and looks great!

Dealers suck at detailing. I also made the mistake of letting them detail my car at delivery and whenever I go in for service, I always request them not to wash my car.

Total time bewteen 2 days it was about six hours I would say. Thats counting me going to the coin wash and doing a citrus wash, and then claying the car.

When I do the full correction it will be never time consuming

That's why you request no dealer prep on a new car.

Car looks great. Was on my short list when I bought recently.

he didn't question just ONE dealers washing techniques. he made a broad, generalized comment about dealer(s).

nice product line, OP.

The day I brought her home. First thing removed the pinstripes and then the side moldings from the doors.

I didn’t mean to pinpoint it to one dealership, it was meant to be a general comment; my apologize if it was misconstrued as something different.

I do and yes it still has the audio system in it. It's been sentenced to sit outside since we have two other cars in the garage. It's my train and airport car.

That looks awesome! Not too many people out there that appreciate a good swirl free paint finish. Even car's and coffee here is sad. Almost every freaking car has messed up paint. Worst part is that no one can even recognize a good paint job.
