need a little more cut

I used megs #9 last year with aio then pinnacle carnuba last year....turned out awesome!
It was due for another deep spring cleaning. Last night hit it with the #9 again but didnt get results on some of the deeper scratches. most swirls are out and the blue chips are back in full effect on the black. but I need to go a step further on the cut. What do you guys recommend? should I try another coat of #9 again? Im using the white lake country polishing pad on my PC. Should I use more aggresive pad?
Thanks for any input.

I'd have to see a picture of the surface to say. My recommendation is to use a smooth cut with a rag by hand, see if it gives you the desired effect. If so, go low rpm's on a rotary with a wool pad, bring it back up with a foam pad with some polish and finally wax. Remember carnuba is a soft wax and looks great but provides little protection.

If you're seeing this as a re-occuring trend with this cars surface year after year try using a thicker more paste-like sealer wax to keep that surface shine locked in and protected from UV. This is especially important for protecting darker cars against oxidation.

Are you trying to go for more of a deep shine?

I used Meg's Polish(step 3, I believe) first. Meg's Carshow shine finish 2nd, and the Meg'sCarnuba Wax last. The shine came out dripping wet and deep. Also, use a microfiber towel...it cuts down your time.

I used the 123 step sys from megs and I don't know if I was using it wrong or leaving the product on there too long put I have crazy swirls. I was using the yellow flannel rags from advance and trying to go back with the micro fiber and it doesn't look really that much better, don't get me wrong its really shiny now and slick as a babies ass b/c of the clay before the 123 but just way to many swirl marks and scratches it seems. I need some advice too....

I'm assuming you might be leaving it on too long. I believe are more prone if you leave the application on too long. I begin at the trunk of the car and work my way to the hood. Then I follow the same procedure when removing the application.

Note: when applying anything to your car, use swirls. When removing anything from your car, use a right-to-left motion.

I applied all the stuff in my previous post at night. If you could have saw the mirror-ness of the car when I finished as it reflected the parking lot lights at the self-carwash. I spent like 2 hours there. Well worth it.

sorry I was out of the country and I have to bring this thread back to life. so what I gather from this thread is that the megs #9 isnt aggressive enough to get the job done that i want.
In my newbie process I use megs#9, then AIO, then pinnacle carnuba to seal. All used with PC, wht and blk pads. The swirls are gone and yes it is a nice wet shine but I have slightly deeper scratches that I would like to remove also. What would be a step more aggressive than the megs # 9 swirl remover?
Also, would that blackfire polish be a good step to throw in here to help w/ coverup?
Man Im such a NOOB! haha

Meg's Step #1 is the paint cleaner which should remove swirls, too.
