My weekend detail job (Pics)

I got more products from Patrick and decided to give it a try. Since it wasn't that long ago that I fully detailed (clayed, polished and everything), I went to put only DG 105 TPP + DG Aquawax.

First of all, I decided to give wheels a full detail.
took both front and rear wheels to clean and rotate later.

cleaned my brembo and koni shocks with soft brush. (look how dirty it is on the bottom )

Dirty wheels!!

I started with back of the wheel. Sprayed wheel cleaner and let it penetrate for about 3 minutes.

then I brushed with soap+water

same with front side

finished and clean!!!!!

I used Meguiar's Hot Rims(pink bottle)'s leftover on 2 wheels and used Eagle One Wheel & Tire Cleaner on the other 2. I'm not kidding, the difference is day and night. Using Eagle One's, I could see all the dirts coming out when it penetrated.

Sorry for crappy pics; I didn't have camera with me, so I used cell phone. More pics that was taken with camera are coming up though.

Full wheel detail job took about 2.5 hours. Removing wheels and putting back on were PITA, but cleaning part was fun.
I skipped pics of detailing with DG products, since my camera phone couldn't get any good angle of full car.
Put DG 105 TPP by PC & green pad with speed 1.5 (to minimize the cleaning ability, just wanted to use it as a sealant), then let it cure for 20 hours. Then put AW to finish. Same thing on wheels, too.

Conclusion: As I mentioned, Eagle One Wheel & Tire Cleaner I was very surprised how it beautifully came out. DG 105 was very, very easy to apply and remove, and the slickness is AMAZING!!!! Since the durability is proven, I'm not going to say anything.
I can't wait to try DG leather shampoo & conditioner. Unfortunately, I still got about half bottle of Meguiar's.

nice work...i wish i could clean my rims like that, but i don't have stands or the motivation to remove my wheels.

fyi...i was not impressed with the DG leather shampoo. a damp MF towel w/ plain water did equal or better of a job for me. the DG leather conditioner is decent though. i still prefer the Zaino Z9/Z10 combo.

I wish I had all the tools and setup to do all 4 at once. Probably will settle for taking one wheel off a day and do it over two weekends.

just get the 2 jack stands. You can get them for real cheap in your local shop. I got mine for $15 for a pair.
I wouldn't jack the car up, remove wheels, put them back on for just to clean it up. If you do 2 at a time and rotate your tire by yourself, you already saved your money.

That's an amazing shine on a white car! I too cannot resist touching the car to feel how smooth the paint feels and just admiring the car after a proper detailing job.
