My god, the scratches - they're everywhere!
I came out to my car a few days ago, and i noticed the usual frost covering it. Only it looked... different. I licked my finger and ran it across a couple lines in the frost, and the white stuff went away - but there was a scratch underneath! Then when i left school and all the frost had melted, the scratches were there - clear as day. You have to get a little close to see them, but in the sunlight you can really notice them. And the worst part is, they're COVERING my car.
I have no idea how i got them - no clue at all. They seem to have appeared overnight.
I'm hoping that my 3m swirl mark remover might fix them or cover it up, but other than that i'm clueless on what to do. This makes me very unhappy.

Did you run it through a car wash? Or dry it off with a towel that may have had a bit of sand on it?
sorry to hear about the scratches...that sucks.

My god, i didn't even think of that. A few days before i noticed the scratches, i did go through the car wash. But it's the same one i've gone to all winter and NEVER had a problem at. Of course, i decided to go on their discount day and decided to get the "best" wash instead of my usual "better." Maybe that had something to do with it?
I didn't even think of the car wash as being a problem because i've never had trouble before - and i see tons of other Acuras there all the time.
Any ideas on fixing these things? They aren't very deep at all.

sucks man, I know how you feel. I have a black car and it is impossible to keep the damn thing scratch free. Mequire's scratch ex seems to do a pretty good job hiding them. I plan on getting a wet sand before I sell the car or trade it in to get rid of them. Don't use the wash brush at the manual car washes either. This was my mistake, until one of the members here straightened me out...nothing but wool mits now for my baby.
