My First Wash

Hello all, before I begin I would like to say this is my first "real" wash and feel free to comment. Constructive criticism welcomed.

Washed my soon-to-be GS400. Did not polish/claybar it since im just starting out. No before pictures either, but to give you an idea the car looked like it went off-roading.

And just a quick question, how would i remove bug goo and somewhat hide the rockchips

Sorry bout the crappy photos.
Need to learn some photo skills as well.

There's a bunch of DIY's in here. They're very helpful. Good job.

Welcome to the sickness........Its only just begun for you.
Hydration works the best for bug splatter, as for rock chips, if you just want to hide them, they need to be filled.......

Good job Usman!

Perfect your hand wash technique first before thinking of doing anything about the rock chips.

And don't forget the tire shine next time!

Smart Wax is re-branded Chemical Guys products. You can get some from Exceldetail or you and I can go on a trip one of these days.

It's about that time for me to visit Paul anyways........

looks great... i wish my GS's paint was that clean... but the snow and salt in the NE kill the black paint and shows much more...

i always spray down the front extra wet to get the bugs moist... they also have bug and tag remover you can lightly spray on the front to keep it easier to clean...

Nice job. Next time be sure to really clean out the fender wells. And don't forget to dress them. i find that well cleaned/dressed fender wells make the biggest difference on a car... second would be tire shine and clean glass.

As a tip.. if you've got a date and little to no time to clean your car just clean your windows and shine your tires.. 5 minute job and is always a huge improvement

^thx for the tips. I also was thinking of re-painting my windshield wipers and touching up on the black trim to restore the color.
