Is my Clear Coat Finished? Is this Salvageable?

This is for my A4, but since I had a CL-S as my first car I'm sure you guys will be nice enough to help

I don't think this is tree sap, but it could be...I have no clue how these stains happened but it looks like my trunk is ruined!!! Any thoughts on if I can salvage this by hand and if so with what?

Furthermore, on the rest of the car I have hard waterspots all over, I know I can get it out wiht scratchx or something but wow everything sticks to this cars paint. Thanks for the help!

Yea wow man, that sucks. Looks like the clear coat is just gone is splotches.

How does it feel when your run your fingers across it? Is it indented like a crater? Raised? Flat? Sticky?

And hard water spots should come of pretty easily, depends on how hard the water is.

Funny part guys!!! I came home and washed it, it came off right away, must have been soap residue that baked in! But yeah the car has crazy etched in water spots that I tried to remove with scratch X and a claybar and some other stuff by hand and it wouldnt come off at all...so if I brought it to a guy with a buffer what product would you recommend them using?

I was going to say that CC failure on an '06 A4 would be pretty extreme so I'm glad it wasn't that. If you want the paint done right, you'll need to buff the it out with professional-grade stuff. Looks like you also need to clay it pretty badly too.

How much have you done with the paint since you've owned the car besides washing?

I got the car like 8 months ago, never got to maintain the paint it was already beat up a little, I wonder how much a full exterior detail would run me

LOL. could have washed the car first so we could see a semi-clean canvas and get an idea of what we were looking at.

Glad it wasnt the CC. have it detailed PROPERLY( not hacked) and you will appreciate the car even more
