Mustang Paint?

Hi All,

Quick question for you guys.

A buddy of mine went to pick up his Grabber Blue 2013 Mustang 5.0 yesterday and was shocked to find that the "detail" he allowed the dealership to do before picking up his brand new car (6 miles on the odometer!) left some light swirling on the paint.

He asked me to polish them out for him and I checked out the car this morning and the swirls are very very light...however, since I've never polished a brand new car before, I wanted to ask all of you, since you are infinitely more knowledgeable than I.

Does anyone have experience with the new mustang paint?

I plan on using Megs 205...do you think that that polish is too aggressive for new paint?

I'm also going to try and convince him to let me opti-coat it for him once I'm done, even though he's made it clear he does't like the idea of permanent protection.

my experience, you should test spot a 12x12 area first to see how you like it.. 205 is ok, it breaks down nice, what kind if equipment do you have?
