More water spots - anyone used "Splash"?
Water spots on paint and glass
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Been lurking for awhile and have learned a lot from ya'll but I haven't come across any posts regarding removing water spots on paint and glass.
Recently bought a used 05 TL with 6,300 miles and the car looks great but the previous owner apprently left the car out to bake in the sun after a rain or sprinklers. As a result, the paint and windows have water spots that I can't remove. I've tried vinegar and RainX on the windows and a clay bar and wax on the paint...nothing seems to work.
I did a little research on the net and have come across a product called "Splash" from MarkV Auto Detailing Products. www.mark-v.com
It is a mild acid and is supposed to disolve the spots from both the glass and paint. Site say's it approved by American Honda. Anyone use this stuff or a similar product? I would appreciate your suggestions and/or recommendations. I'm a little hesitate to use anything labeled "acid" on the paint.
BTW, great group of folks here! Thanks in advance for your help.

a claybar will not remove water spots if they etched in, you will most likely need to polish them out with some sort of abrasives, such a Four Star Light Cut or Medium Cut.
