NXT Spray Wax, a.k.a Booster Wax is a joke, its just a flash detailer on steroids....and stains whatever it touches, not too mention a hassle getting off....

I still don't understand this product, some people swear by it, but w/ the effort it takes it makes more sense to just throw on another coat of NXT tech wax

You're gonna wanna get off any old wax completely.... before applying the NXT. I do not subscribe to the dish soap completely gets off old wax theory so I actually use a product to remove all the old wax down to clear coat. Then clay bar... Then reapply whatever wax it is that you are gonna use! BAM. SHINY. You can carnuba overtop of the NXT to get a more wet look, but you should not put more NXT over carnuba.... I'm gonna use the Blackfire product line myself... (the NXT was my 2nd choice... I've just heard better things about the BlackFire)

Yes just use a name brand car shampoo and follow it up with a clay. then apply you're favorite wax.

DO NOT USE DAWN OR ANY DISH WASHING LIQUID!!!

Cool

Here's a pic of my car last summer when I put it on. I highly recommend it:

I'll be really interested to see if the guys from guru reports test this

Steve actually did a follow up report on NXT after the Guru Reports came out. You can find the results on Roadfly.org.

just a side note to that also... it scored very low in durability and overall performance and seemed to have thrown in the towel after only a few weeks

I read that over at Roadfly also. Quite disappointing actually, since I had already purchased a bottle. No big deal. I like Blackfire better anyways.

Thats good to hear... I'll be ordering the BlackFire here real soon. (I've decided on it over the NXT) So from your experience... How long do you feel it "lasts"? I plan on waxing... Every 6-8 weeks or so (suits me...) Thoughts?

I keep my car garaged and I wax every month, so I couldn't tell you about the durability aspect of Blackfire. All I can say is, after I polished my car and put the Blackfire on, It just looked incredible. It showed a lot of depth without the excessive shine typical of synthetic sealants. So far, I've used NXT, #26, Blitz, Gold Class and S100, but I like Blackfire best. It felt the slickest. Except for S100 and NXT, it was also the easiest to apply and buff.

I think you'll like Blackfire a lot better than NXT. Don't get me wrong. NXT is a great product, but I think Blackfire is superior.

I just use Clay Bar Magic from Autozone. It's only $10 as opposed to Mother's Clay Bar at Advance Auto for $16. As for car wash, I use Meguiar's Gold Class. It's reasonably priced, smells great, good lubricity and you can get it just about anywhere! Also, you can save the QD and just use the clay bar while you're washing the car.
