Megiuars 3 step vs more expensive brands of polish/wax
Would I knowtice a difference between the 3 step wax job and the more expensive waxes available online?? I have a grey 2007 tl and i use a 7424xp buffer. I was wondering if the shine would be better. Thanks

shine should be about the same, 95% of shine comes from good prep (polishing, taking out scratches). 3 step might do it but might not be aggressive enough to do good prep before waxing. we use Menzerna and Meguiar's Pro line polishes. i have used 3 step before and first step did very good job of cleanned surface from contamination on white car but dont think it will remove much scratches. what other polishes did you look at? Meguiars M105 and 205 is a great combo, we use M105 a lot and works great as a compound, did use 205 several times with great results

I agree with Oakes, I would recommend you use Megs M105 with 205 or other finishing polish. Those work great with the PC orange and white pads. Other that that you simply need a good topper paint sealant. The M105 is by far my go to Compound as it leaves such a nice finish and has very good correction ability as well.

Agreed, the Megs consumer 3 step, (thank goodness,) is in a league all of its own. I'd opt for very user friendly NON DUSTING Optimum Hyper Compound Spray. Extremely versatile product. Theres a night and day difference from a paint cleaner and super light abrasive polish, compared to what detailers use on a daily basis which supports their reputation.
