Here's a bit of info for those of us on the verge of buying a PC. I just bought a house, and was expecting to receive a 10% off coupon in the mail from Lowe's, as many others have, and use it to discount the PC purchase.

Since I had not received it, I went into the store (for other items) and happened to ask at the customer service desk if I should expect to receive the coupon.

The woman, whom I think was the cashier manager, said that if I had received a 10%coupon form Home Depot, Lowe's would honor that as well. THEN, she said that Lowe's would also honor the coupons from Bed Bath and Beyond, EVEN THE 20% OFF ONE we all get in the mail monthly!!

Well, I did the math, and that's a PC 7336 for $95.20 plus tax! WOOHOO!!

I am going to do this next weekend, but if anyone beats me to it, let me know how it goes.

Hey stogie, from your calculations (20%), the price of the 7336 is $119. I mentioned it to a co-worker, he can pick up a buffer at Lowe's for $109. He picked one up about a month ago and he mentioned the $10 increase. Just wanted to confirm the actual cost.

Didn't know it went up 10 bucks... All the more reason to use a coupon.

Someone mentioned it on another website, but his post didn't list his location. Maybe it's not a regional thing...

Just called Lowes in the Phoenix area, and it is still $119. Looks like I will try a 20% coupon after Thanksgiving.

Confirmed by phone call. The item is "non-stock" (nationwide) which either means

a) They will discontinue stocking the item
b) They will provide an "upgrade"
c) a & b combined.

As for the markdown that goes on a store by store basis. So there's really good chance to get this item on clearance depending on the store.

go go go

PS This was @ the Kansas City Lowes in Shawnee. I'm going to call all the other Lowe's in the area and will keep you guys updated.

Which Lowes did you call? I went to the one on Frank Llyod Wright in N Scottsdale and they didn't even carry it....

Is Lowe's going to discontinue this item?????

Stogie, I thought you picked one up already. If Lowes discontinues the item, you still have the option of other online sites that have the PC (7424/7336) in stock. Coastal Tool has the 7424 for $109 (+SH, of course). Check out this thread on PCs.

I went to the Lowe's in Rolling Meadows, IL on Wed and they had it on clearance for $107, down from $119. I wonder if they marked it down even lower for Black Friday???

True that. But since it's discontinued (nationwide @ Lowes)), they have it for cheap (at most locations). $89 - 10%(coupon) ~ $80ish. That is of course if they let you use the coupon on top of the clearance.. but hey, it's black Friday anything could go.

So once it's gone, it's gone. If you can get one for under a C-note, get it, you can't beat it. Seems like you guys are procrastinating a bit, the longer you wait, the chances of getting one is reduced. But, one never knows.

Went to Lowe's in Bloomingdale, IL today to check and the guy told me that it was discontinued and they got rid of their supply. Also went to back to Rolling Meadows and it was still $107.10 for BF.

I got in on the $89 @ Lowes. The store had it on clearance for $107, but I told them the Lowe's 20 miles away had it for $89. They called then pricematched.

Then I had to return it that same day because apparently my sister bought had already bought it for me for Christmas.

LOOKOUT excel. I'll be harassing you shortly for parts/pads.

It Worked!!!
Title says it all. For the non believers, here is the receipt:

Two notes:

1. If you are going to do this, do not go to a regular checkout counter, go to the customer service desk and purchase there

2. Lowe's has the 7336 listed as "NON-STOCK", which means that they are not currently replacing sold items, and therefore may not have this item around anymore.

'Bout time .... now you need a backing plate and pads and you're ready to rock n roll.
If you order them from Patrick, get a 6" BP along with light cut pad (white/orange), polishing pad (black) and a finishing pad (green). Or you can get the sampler kit. For polishes; Optimum, PB or Four Star Body Shop...... Have fun!

That store had three more in the box and one display, and the Thunderbird store had two in the box and a display (as of Sunday).

The FLW store had only the display, without all the stuff that comes in the box, and dirty and written on, AND THEY WERE SELLING IT FOR $119!! on the clearance table for tools.... It was $101 pre-coupon at Happy Valley store.

What coupon? The one from Bed Bath & Beyond? I wonder if I took them a scan of your receipt they would sell it to me for the same price.

Got mine at the Thunderbird store for the same price as you. Showed them your receipt scan and they first thought I Photoshopped it since they still had it priced at $119.99. Finally they called Happy Valley to verify that your receipt number was correct. OTD cost with tax was $90.07!

Sundevil, I should be getting my Optimum polish and a couple of other items form Patrick in the next couple of days and then I will fire up the PC. Make sure you take some before and after pics when you run it for the first time.

I just bought a house at Tatum & Bell; closing on March 15th. I work in the Esplande at the Biltmore. Funny - when I was in college I worked at Thaifoon right by where you are now.
