Which kind of Zymol to buy?

Around town (like at Target and Costco) I've seen Zymol Cleaner Wax in liquid form. But, on the web, I've also seen a number of different varieties of a Zymol Caruba based wax. The later product is a lot more expensive.

Which one should I use? (Yeah, I know all about the advantages of polymers, I'd just prefer to use conventional wax).

Skip the Zymol. Its just well marketed and that's all. I've got some Zymol Vintage ($1500 per jar) that someone sent me. I'd never pay that much for wax, but Zymol knows that there are people out there who will pay it because they think that the price means its the best. I've used many waxes and it doesn't get much better than S100. You can get S100 at Harley Davidson shops. Its only $15 bucks a jar and will do at least 20 coats or more. Check out www.autopia.org and do a search on it. Its hailed as one of the best waxes out there. Especially for the price.

If you are really into using a liquid wax then just get some Meguiar's Gold Class. Compared side by side with Zymol you will see that Gold Class has more depth and durability. Zymol is nice, but its fragile and doesn't last. I get maybe 3 weeks out of Vintage. You'd think that for $1500 I would get a full month... Trust me. Do some research on S100. P21S is basicly the same product and you can order that online if you want to research that one too. There are far better waxes out there than Zymol. Do the research.

The zymol that you can find on the cheap end is really turtle wax rebadged. The funny part, is that some people claim it does a good job or equal to it's more expensive sibling.

I agree with Jngrbrdman.

Check out S100 paste wax. Their paint cleanser product is also good.

Thumbs up Better than Zymol

I've used everything from the old turtle wax to Zymol and the only wax that i found to be worth its weight in gold is Zaino Bros. wax. www.zainobros.com

I had a buddy tell me about what they used at the Ford SVT-Lighting truck shows and everyone uses Zaino Bros. I bought the wax to use on my Honda motorcycle (1100XX Blackbird) and it put a mirror finish on like you would not believe!!!!

Bang for the Buck, there is nothing better!!!

Zanio is problematic is you live in an apartment complex and don't have access to a hose. I can't wash my car myself to remove the existing wax.

Zaino isn't wax. Its a sealant. It can't be compared to a wax. Sealants are much better protection and look much different from a wax. And there are nearly as many sealants to choose from as there are waxes. Zaino, Klasse, Platinum, Meguiar's, etc. Lots out there.

There is no "best". There is only what you like the most. Best is so subjective and relative that it can not be defined. Just because the product starts with a Z people seem to think it must be the best. That isn't necessarily true...
