Just got my WDP repaired and was told not to wax the paint for 90 days..is this really necessary? Could I use a detail spray? I don't know much about the painting process,so hopefully someone here has experience with this subject. TIA.

No you do not have to wait several months before waxing. That will only leave your car unprotected! I just had a whole new bumper kit painted and waxed it within a week. The ol"wait 6 months to a year before waxing" was for the old Lacquer based paint jobs that dry from the top down and required longer drying times. Now everything is 2 step base & Clearcoat and is 95% dry when it leaves the booth. Wait a couple days and you are good to go! Wax it!!! get protection on there right away

Sealants a minimum of 30 days ... but as I posted above .. ask the painter. But DON'T wax/seal immediatly. Lack of protection for 30 days isn't going to make the paint fall off. Hell 1/2 the cars in the US are never waxed for years and the paint doesn't just fall off in the parking lot one day.
