How to clean my car??? NO Zaino please...
yes I have read everything about zaino and i believe in it but i really dont have the time for doing all that stuff. I got ten kids to feed but i still want my car looking nice. so here goes the questions for my black 97 CL...
1. What is next best thing to Zaino? My car gets dusty pretty quick. is there stuff that will repel dust???
2. I got paint chips on the front bumper from interstate travel. do i use touch up paint and langka??? where do i get langka from??
3. i use supposedly "diaper soft" towels i bought from automart. is that bad???
Hey thanks for the help. I wish my car looked half as good as you guys stuff. If you want to feel good about your car, hey just look at mines

It's funny, people think that applying Zaino is so much more work that any other carnauba/polymer.
The difference is that Sal took the time, as well as some others, to document the time to properly prep your car for waxing/polishing.
It takes no more time than applying Meguiars would. You still need to Wash with Dawn, clay the car, rewash, and then wax.
Meguiars may be a little cheaper, but it does not last nearly as long.

for sheer simplicity, use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash and the Gold Class wax (liquid or paste)
keep in mind, this is prob the easiest way that will make the car look decent, but it won't look nearly as good vs. using a step system Meguiar's or Zaino uses

I agree, many wax will work well. Meguiar is nice, and the Gold is supposed to be better. I use Zaino and often I catch people starring at my car and then they will look away quickly :-)

question number 1 is interesting - and often a great source of debate . .
heres my take on it . ..
waxes have oil. oil attracts and HOLDS dust and dirt. 'nuff said ?
get a california duster and a favorite spray detailer (mine happens to be zaino Z6)
there are better waxes than others - and Meguires has quite a nice selection - ranging from cheap (ya gets what ya pays for) to more expensive - but - hey , they are only waxes and you cant expect a lot from them
chips and langka ?
www.langka.com as far as i know, its only online. at least in Canada, anyways.
hmm - diaper soft towels - well, why not get diapers, as opposed to something "like" a diaper. personally - i wouldnt use them - but thats just me and my cars.
and yea - it just sounds and looks like a lot of work - it can, like any car care regimine - be altered.
