Help, snow covered hood and faded paint..

I had my Acura TSX on the driveway and we got a lot of snow lately. Snow piled up on the hood of my car for a few days and now when the snow was gone I got a car wash and it looks like the dark grey color has discolored a little.

Does anyone know of any products where I can wax or buff to make this less noticable? It's only on the whole hood of the car. The rest of the car is fine. Thx!

How did that happen? Did you brush the snow off or just let it melt?

How do you know for sure? was the car cleaned and then you saw this on the hood? For all you know it could just be dirt from the road that just needs to be washed off

If a few days was just a few days not weeks then this shouldn't happen. Did the snow just melt off the car? Did you scrape it off or push it off a dirty hood? Snow sitting for a few days will not cause a discoloration. Matter of fact my neibour left his van burried in snow for 3 months and cleaned it off yesterday and all is fine. I have seen this type of issue only once before when a customer left the bra on his Accord a little too long and the moisture under it caused a fogging effect which came out with a little hot sun or a heat gun. Be careful with the heat gun.

Does sound a bit weird that it's just on the hood and no other places? Any chance you applied any products to the hood and not the rest of the car? Or the other way around?

My guess is car was a little dirty, snow settled on it, you pushed snow off thus abrading the paint with the dirt. Wash polish and wax.
