Help Please!

Soo, my sister drives a 5G charcoal Nissan Maxima GLE.. its a nice car for the least but she doesnt take care of it AT ALL.. i wash the car occasionally but never spend too much time on it like i do my car. I do notice, though, that her paint is a lot better than my NBP paint. as said before, Acura needs to step their paint game up!

there are a few problems on it that i need the detail gurus for..

1) the side skirts have some sort of paint or something stuck on them that wont come off with a regular car wash + extra scrubbing.
2) the trunk is really hazy for some reason (only the trunk). will claying help the cause for this?
3) the wheels have VERY thick layers of brake dust/dirt build up on them.

Here are some pics to help you guys out:
(Sorry for the crappy quality.. it was cloudy out and i just flat-out suck at photography lol)

Side Skirts:

Trunk: Notice how theres almost no reflection off the trunk compared to the spoiler which is still kinda dull since it hasnt been polished/waxed in like 8 years.

Wheels:

Oh and i dont have a UDM/PC and prefer OTC products if possible.. sorry lol

Thanks in advance!

Black magic wheel cleaner should work well enough, let it dwell for a minute or two, spray more and agitate. Wash and repeat.

For the side-skirts, use some bug/tar remover on them and that should take off a bit of the stuff. Claying will also help take it off.

For the dullness, you can use some Meg's compounds that auto stores carry. The results won't be that great, but it'll be better than before.

step 1: remove car from sisters possession until she can learn to appreciate it.
step 2: tar remover for the side skirts
step 3: baby bottle cleaner and wheel cleaner on those wheels
step 4: looks like you need a good polish for the paint, its right near the point of no return.

my dad told me last night we have some kind of buffer in the storage room of our hotel.. so i just went back there and found it and its a Ryobi RB100.. i searched and most of the 'pro-detailers' we have on here say its no good.. im thinking of testing it out on my sisters trunk considering i don tthink hand waxing will do it any justice.

should i do this or is it the machine that bad? (a few of people used it with not-so-bad results..)

You could use if you want but probably after you're done, you'll probably wish you had your time back.
