Help needed ASAP
Don't know where to start a thread like this, but here it is.
Yesterday, I got into my father's brand new Odyssey(1 week old), something smelled really bad. So, I got out and started searching for something that might have caused the problem. About 30 seconds later, I found out that something brownish substances had been spilled all over the trunk area. It smelled VERY bad.
My father and I started cleaning it with soap water and Febreze. FAILED. Substances on the surface have mostly gone away but I'm pretty sure that underneath the surface, there's alot more...
We have no idea what it is and how it ended up there.
How should I get rid of that? (both the substance itself and smell of it..)
Thank you guys in advance.

Doh! What it is!?!?!
If the carpet has a foam backing, consider removing the foam and replacing. If its as bad as you say it is, this is often the best course of action. The carpets fibers are not all that dense as to not be able to remove organics, so the carpet should clean up fine. Its going to be a rinse and repeat several times though.
Otherwise, your going to need an extractor or wet/dry at a minimum.
Find some Folex at the local hardware/target/walmart and try that as well. Comes in qts and is about $6.00-$7.00. Great APC. Simple Green comes to mind also, but Im not fond of the smell.......
Remove heavier debris, apply cleaner, agitate. Repeat, spritz with water and extract, apply cleaner, agitate, extract.....etc.....
