Hahaha alright guys, enough teasing. Spent about a total of 15 hours on this car. All done by hand. Keep in mind, I'm only 16, so I'm not really the best at this stuff. Go back and look at the before pics- this car turned out pretty damn nice.

The carpet cleaned up real well-

cj, that was a great birthday/graduation present---you did a fine job with what you were given.
A couple of suggestions from an "old man":
1) First and foremost---teach that bitch how to use one of those R2D2 type vacuum cleaners at the gas station. For chrissakes, she has to take some responsibility here!
2) Understand that this gives you bargaining chips for future use. So when you are starving in college and you've tapped out Mom & Dad----cash a chip. If you are careful when you use it, you may even get more than one!

Please post more info on products and techniques used, as well ass any reference information you may have consulted.

You need to take the wheels off and knock down that spot rust.. that's pretty bad. No wonder there was so much brake dust.. At least get your sister acquainted to a touchless car wash.. damn.

Might as well put ceramic pads in for her as well. I don't care how hot your sister is, there's just no excuse.. including being blonde.

I'm guessing that the condition of the car she's been pumping regular 87 octane.. make sure she's using premium 92/93 octane, dump a bottle of seafoam or b12 down the tank before she takes off again

Thanks guys. I really like her color combo too. If only her TL had A-Spec, Nav, non-snow tires, and didn't drive like shit. I'd love her car then..

Thanks! It did come out pretty nice.

But the floor mats aren't OEM. Previous owner put them in at some point I guess. They're really thick and trap dirt like none other.

Nice job.
Why thank you sir. Having a good camera helps- Nikon D60.

SSM is a pretty hard color to get to "shine" but I try my best.

All are OTC products that can be found at any auto store. In my case, O'Reilly. To name some of the products- Ajax dishsoap! (for the initial wash, haha) Mother's clay bar and quick detailer, Meguiar's cleaner wax, Meguiar's quick detail, Armor-All glass cleaner, Eagle One tire shine, Lexol Cleaner/Conditioner, Woolite, Meguiar's natural shine protectant, some turtle wax carpet shampoo, uhhh armor all on the pedals and engine bay plastics, brasso on the exhaust pipes, purple power degreaser on the wheels. Tons more products were used- I have an arsenal of supplies in my garage.

Haha I already told her to never let it get that dirty ever again. She said she was going to wash it this summer. I quizzed her and asked what she was going to use on it- "The dish soap we have out in the garage and maybe some towels." Idiot. She has some learning to do.

See above post for info on products.

Haha you should sir! We only live literally <10 minutes from eachother. Saw a NBP TL w/ A-Spec + wheels in town today.

Been there, done that! Just detailed that beast for my dad a couple weeks ago. It's a C6 ZO6. LeMans Blue. Freaking gorgeous- it's too bad the cover is on it 80% of the time.

Hahaha her friends already have praised me. My sister uploaded a pic of me to facebook while I was detailing it and her friends commented.

I know right? Disgusting. There's a touch-free carwash about 3 minutes from my house. She needs to find it. But luckily, she knows to put premium in it. I've been with her when she filled up, and she presses the right button.

Her car drives like SHIT. I say that with capital letters, because it does. Night and day difference between hers and mine. I'm not just saying that. My dad and her herself have noticed.

Oughta see her new C350. The car is going to look like hell at the end of its 3 year lease at this rate.

Gattdammit Flickr. For those curious as to the after pics, here are just a couple. Dunno where Flickr decided to put the other ones. I titled the album in my iPhoto "TL Restoration".

Great work! That is seriously some good attention to detail. Now to add some curb feelers on the front bumper to prevent any more of that road rash on the rims!

for OP, you can't really change people and how they care about their car, and maintain, so personally i would just let her car be as she treats it (especially considering it is a lease now); sometimes not worth the bother especially when they just trash it again

anyhow i would not mind tea bagging your sister at all...

When she traded it in, the Benz dealer raped her on the value of the car. But the saleslady, to quote "The rims are all F'd up." Classy.

I know, its impossible to get my sister, well both sisters for that matter, to care about their cars the way my dad and I do. It sucks because my mom owned my sister's current C350 since it was new for about a year and half and she kept it looking great. And now it looks like shit.
