Try this;

1. Place an ice cube in a baggie.
2. Put ice on gum in carpet.
3. Wait until gum completely freezes.
4. Scrape gum from carpet using a dull knife, such as a butter knife.

It works on house carpets, should work on floormats too.

Also, look at this URL talks about other methods.

Try this.
apply enough amount of gasoline on a small piece of cloth.
Rub that gum off with the gasoline wet cloth.

MCtuners method works great, kerosene will work as well, however you're mats will stink a little, and there is that whole flammible thing. Another method would be to take a can of compressed air and turn it upside down and spray, the coolant will freeze the gum in about 10 seconds, then pull it off.

I was about to suggest this, someone beat me to it. Get the nozzle about an inch from the gum and give it a good blast. Break off the chunks immediately with a flat-head screwdriver or plastic putty knife.

Repeat if needed.

Oh, and beat the snot out of the kid that got gum in your Acura!

It was my dad.

Although I can take him!

I visited and took him out to lunch. He must have picked it up while in the restaurant or in the parking lot.

Gum Remover

If freezing the stuff doesn't work, why not just buy an specialized gum remover? lot the the car care outfils sell them and a Google search will give you hundreds.

I used to own an gum vending machine business and used some of them with no problem, but I have lost too many brain cells to provide a specific recomendation.

Have had the TSX for about a month and the mats already have dirt/oil on them. I don't have a wet vacuum and was wondering what to do? Buy new ones every couple of years??
