Actually the air here is a lot cleaner than 95% of most American centers.. I know cuz I used to work there in the Environmental Montitoring and did all the data analysis and reporting to the Feds and NPRE etc.

Yeep yout right ...

What it was is the empty container from the Windex Outdoor Window washing system. I have a 3 story house and I use it to wash the second floor windows. It sends a stream of foam solution to the window then you let it sit and then rinse .. I figured if this worked on windows why not on the car.

I washed the container really well then ran some APC through it followed by water .. then just added my regular car wash soap.

Walla .. worked well ...

Was free because it was empty and would have ended up in the recycle/garbage.

I've also had good luck with the dial-a-setting Ortho containers. As much foam as my Gilmour.

Actually worked very well to my suprise .. I have been using it for about 4 years. The only thing it had a bit of a time with is dried on bird poop.. the rest cleans right up . I don't have really hard water but the water will water spot and what ever is in the Windex eliminates that . Very good sheeting action. For the poop, and what I get is mostly sparrows, I tywraped am old MF to the end of a 12' piece of copper pipe and I wet the mf and give the poop a pre scrub.

You could be happy either way. I wish I didn't waste the money on it, but I use it every single time.

I love it, yet I hate that I bought it. Make sense?

Great find Dale!

Foaming is a must for lubricating the paint prior to wiping with a wash mitt.

freakin great idea. any idea how much water ends up mixing with the solution? for example, if I use car wash soap that has a dilution ratio of 2oz/gallon for regular washes, what mixture would i put in the Windex bottle so that I get the right amount of concentration at the output? maybe i'll just have to test it and see haha

Just tried this yesterday, used a cap of CB Citrus Gloss with my windex bottle and I wasn't able to get the foaming action as seen in OP pictures. Good idea, but I think I'm going to save up for a foam cannon!

Did you dilute the soap .. if so .. thats why ... by diluting it your diluting it more when the water goes through.

Gotta love repurposing. I have used miracle grow garden sprayer, as well. Refill liquid feed bottle (cleaned-of course) with soap and run through miracle grow sprayer.
