fed up with this crap...

OK...I debadged about 4 months ago....I have tried EVERYTHING to get the crap off of my paint that was left over. (goo-off, WD-40, all different kinds of alcohols, etc.) I am begining to think that this is not sticky goop, but perhaps fine cuts in the paint...should I try some polishing compound to clear it up?

See my pics at http://community.webshots.com/user/jaredgms
Let me know what you think

Looks like your whole trunk could use a polish. Clay it, polish it, wax it, then see how it looks.

Try some laquer thinner...used sparingly. When it's off, wash immediately with Dawn.

I just had to de-decal my G35...worked great, no harm done.

i had this exact same problem, just not as much, even had superglue. What I use was Eagle One's Never Dull. It took a while, but it got it off completely. I have done clay, but it took to long for me and seem like it did not work. But I would suggest you clay your trunk and if you have time clay your whole car, you will love it afterwards. Apply wax when done

OH, ans CLPOWER, I was curious about equipment....I know the PC is the best spinner around, but could I get away with useing one of those orbital buffers this time for my polishing/cleaning/waxing needs?

you know there is a metra kit available now and you could swap out that mismatching dash kit for something that looks OEM...
