I am interested in cleaning my engine , but
i am not sure how to get it looking like new........b4 i bought my car I went to a couple of dealers and checked out used CL's like mine and the engines were spotless ..i mean they looked brand new, with armor all and everthing..

How can I get my engine to look like that? any tips?

Well first off, go to one of those corner do-it-yourself car wash places...Pick the engine cleaner or degreaser option and washed the engine really good...make sure you don't hit the alternator directly or just leave your engine running...if you get water in the alternator, you'll have trouble starting the car unless you open it up and dry it...after degreasing...rinse...then dry to a gas station and use their air hose to blow it dry ( a special blower attachment is needed for good blowing ) anyways..then after it's dry, armor-all the shit out of it....dealers use their own heated power washer but the degreaser should work pretty well....Good Luck!!

or you could just take it to a shop to have it done - engine steam cleaning is done by some dealershiop, detail shops and service companies.

then keep it up with regular washing. cleaning yourself.
