DWG over UPP x 4

I have a few layers of UPP on the car now ( WDP ) and get a lot of compliments on the gloss & depth of the shine. Mind you its very well prepared.

I have a major show comming up in a couple weeks and was looking at putting a fresh UPP on then a couple of layers of DWG , spaced of course. Will it be worth while .. will I gain any depth and wetness? Or will I go backwards?

I have had the DWG for a while but haven't experimented with it at all.

You guys are a lot of help..... Pffftttt...

I guess I could try it .. and if I see no difference I could just do UPP over it again .. both are so easy to use ..

do you put the upp/dwg on before the sealant, or do you put the glaze on last?

The UPP is a sealant.

Ok .. did the DWG and it clouded over so I couldn't tell if it looked different.

All I got to see was 1 mirror in the sun and it look good. Not as slick as UPP but then I think slick is over rated and really what does it mean...means nothing.

Dale,

Take a couple of pics to show where you are now. I am not sure the extra DWG will do anything that is really noticeable. On my white Civic the DWG gave the appearance of having a carnauba wax instead of the sealant from the Optimum Car Wax. Have you tried the Optimum Car Wax yet? In terms of ease of use (easy as a QD), durability, and gloss it can not be beat.

Better yet, test your theory on the trunk lid.

Agreed, pretty rewarding product. Dale give slickness upper priority. Its probably the first thing (OK, 2nd) people notice when inspecting a freshly detailed car. Its probably more of a mental attribute then physical, as a significant amount of slickess drops after a couple washes. Heck, nothing like leaning up against "her" chattin with the neighbor feeling that slickness just knowing its the slickest thing in town, with the tightest water beads. You know you love slickness buddy!! Plus, slick = less stuff sticking to it!
