DuraGloss 105 .. first impressions.

I got a chance to use it today on a 08 Tundra that was a black pearl.

I did the usual prep right down to the PoliSeal for cleanup and light filling. I did this to see how much cleaning the 105 would do.

The 105 didn't appear to remove the PoliSeal or if it did it did the same job of filling.

I used it in direct sunlight as is my preference. I have yet to do a side by side for visuals but it seems the #21 has a little more depth & wetness. Both have excellent gloss. In a week or so I'll have a red Infinity to do and I'll split the hood between 105 & #21 to see if I can see a difference.

I am more interested in visuals as I know #21 has great durability and I hear the 105 has also.

It applied and removed easily in the sun when left on a panel up to 5 minutes. Never tried any longer than that. One thing it did was dust just a little during application and removal. Not a lot but it was there .. not enough to even require cleanup.

It seemed to compliment the PoliSeal very well.

All in all so far its was a well spent $10.

I use it between the last polishing step and the Sealant.

Some polishes leave a residue or oils behind and sealants like a good clean surface to bond to .

I apply the PoliSeal using a black pad and the PC set on 3 and make fast passes.

I did the TL with 105 last week and will do the Tahoe with 105 next week. The 105 is great. It went on really easy, let it haze for about an hour. And then easy off.

do you really think you need to let it haze for an hour...the problem i see here, is that during that hour, dust will settle onto the haze and then when you buff it off you will be buffing dust right into your clean and induce some kind of swirl or marring...
