Is it considered a metallic paint? I know some non-metallic paints dont have clear coats...does the TSX's black? Thanks.

 

Nearly ever mass-produced car since the late '80s has had clear coat.

And yes, the TSX has a clear coat on it.

 

It is not a metallic paint, but rather a pearl paint. It has small flakes of crushed synthetic pearl in it which gives the color a unique texture.

 

Every car has clear but some of the Acura colors (such as Milano Red) are 3-Stage pearl which give it a very deep and rich look.

What other colors of the following in the TSX line are three stage and which are two?

Black
Artic Blue
White
Satin Silver
Meteor Silver
Carbon Grey

 

I don't believe this much of a difference between any of the colors in terms of depth. Bottom line wash and wax and you'll be stylin in miami with a tsx.
