Detailers Welcome Package Write up

After hanging around this message board for a while, (and a few others) I have gathered an enormous amount of information on how to properly detail a car. I must admit - it’s quite an addiction. The amount of sweat equity is endless, but the feeling of having a perfectly clean car is priceless. Yes, your friends or family might think you're "anal" or have developed OCD concerning the cleanliness of your ride, but in reality, they just wish there ride was as clean as yours.

Recurring questions that appear quite frequently on these boards are: "What do I need to get started?" "What is the proper technique for..." "Is this the right Pad for the PC?"

With that being the case, I feel this board in is need of a "Detailers Welcome Package Write up" which would describe in detail, with photos and links the following topics

1. The products needed to get started.
2. The Proper techniques and variations of each one.
3. The average initial investment required to purchase the necessary supplies.
4. Tips and tricks of the trade.

I would love to find the time to make a complete write up, but with work, grad classes, and planning a wedding, its hard to find the time.

My thought is that a few of us could get a Google doc started and have it passed around until we feel it is polished enough to post.

Would anyone be interested in this idea?

I think we are all in one of those positions! Its actually just plain old hard to find time, period.
This may make a dent in your request, maybe you overlooked it?

OP - Why don't you start it and then post for others to add too.

(writing a book on detailing takes a lot, and I mean a lot of time, research and effort, and trust me I know)
