This thing looked like it hadn't been cleaned since 1993. That is a beautiful recovery, excellent result.

Brings back memories.
I had a 94 touring. Red with black interior.
Hands down. One of my favorite cars of all time.

I wish I could find one in decent condition with low miles.
That motor was temperamental but sooo fun

Amazing work!

My friend had a Red R3 when he was in high school. Every time Id come home from college I'd drive it to the beach? Such a memorable car. Just like the 300ZX/Toyota Supra was in the same period.

WOW, talk about abuse! The owner of this car should be detained for letting the car get so nasty.

Great work!

i had originally wanted a 94 Supra TT.. a friend of mine had one and i fell in love with that thing the second i drove it.

however, they were pretty pricey for a 18 year old.

i think i ended up getting that RX7 for likr 25k.. still a lot of money for a 18 year old in the 90s.

put 45k miles on that car in 8 months and got a 104 in a 65 speeding ticket.
that was the end of that. i couldnt even comprehend the cost of insurance after that so it was immediately sold.

i have very fond memories of just cruising around town in that car non stop. stop light racing anything that pulled up next to me.

ever since then, ive looked for one in good shape every time id toy with the idea of getting a new car.

the mid 90s were a AWESOME time for Japanese Sports cars.
we lusted over cars like the 300ZX TT, Supra TT, FD RX7 TT, Acura NSX and Drooled over cars we couldnt get like the EVO and the SKyline GTR.

hell, not much has changed. i still lust and drool over all those cars!

id kill for a FD rx7 in good shape and low miles.

i found one a while ago that i almost bought. it was a 94 Touring with 18k ORIGINAL miles.

it was soo tempting but i just couldnt justify paying 30 grand for a 20 year old car.

sorry for the trip down memory lane.

Do you guys cover anything specific when spraying the bay with APC? Just wondering.. because I remember reading somewhere that the alternator and battery terminals should be covered. I could be wrong though.

I mean this in no derogatory way what so ever.

But I see you are spraying both the apc, and water directly onto electrical components in the engine bay, clearly pictured the alternator etc...... I thought the proper and most safe way to detail an engine is to cover these parts in foil or a material of your choice to deflect all water from hitting these said parts?............if that were my car, id be thoroughly HOT and wanting an explanation.

As far as your work goes, looks great. Top notch!

i can't believe how unbelievably stock that car was kept... i'm glad a great classic was preserved... i hope it goes to a good owner... do you know how much the owner wants to sell it for?

agree with you that ideally you should keep the alternator/battery terminals clean... but as long as you aren't directly spraying high pressure water onto the electrical component and starting the engine whilst the component is still sopping wet, you shouldn't have a problem... as long as you properly blow out all the excess water and let the component dry, you are fine to 'clean' it with some water... i do it all the time...

some of my cars have their alternators down low in the engine bay close to the ground so those items can be open to puddle splashes when it is raining etc... they don't have problems...

My buddy just paid about 20k for a really clean 94 with 30k on it. Took it home and within a week was ripping the perfectly good engine out to put in a LS3 from a 2010 camaro.
