Detailed: Crystal White Pearl Lexus RX350

The CTS-V owner called me out again to take a look at his RX350. It was pretty dirty but the paint was decent. Not too many scratches and swirls but there seemed to be a layer of oxidation on the paint causing it to look really dull. The interior was pretty clean for the most part except the mats and carpet. Not much could be done about the red slushy stains on the rear carpets but all the mats were thoroughly cleaned and I think they came out pretty good.

Wheels
P21S wheel gel on wheels
Megs APC 4:1 on tires
Z16 on tires

Prep
Dawn for stripping wax
Megs APC 4:1 for pretreating lower panels
Megs blue clay w/ ONR lube

Polish
M205 / LC orange
M205 / LC white
IPA wipedowns

LSP
ZFX'd Z2
Z8

Trim
303 AP on all exterior plastic trim

Interior
Megs APC 10:1 on non-leather surfaces and jambs
303 AP on non-leather surfaces and seals
F*ULC on seats
Z10 on seats

Carpets / mats
Folex

Glass
DG glass cleaner
DG AW

Onto the pictures! White is a hard color to capture but I think the after reflections are much deeper and the paint seems more alive. Also the white pearl paint pops much more.

Did you do anything to the rust spot?

It always makes me wonder when people that financially well off let things go like that.

I worked around it. The paint was chipping and didn't want to make it worse.

Now, I'm not insinuating anything but this is his wife's car.

I only have a PC right now. Interested in the XP and eventually learning how to use a rotary.

That thing was hammered. Nice turn-around and they need to get that rust spot fixed before it spreads and the paint begins to peel like a mid-90s Chrysler product.

Thanks guys. Haha I dunno why. As long as I get paid, I just do the work.

I think he is planning on upgrading soon... to what, I dunno.

As long as the other parts of the car look decent...
