Detail Gurus, what does Zymol HD cleanse do?

Ok so i get that it cleans or whatever from the back of the bottle and its a good precursor to zymol wax, but what is it actually doing?

i am a detail nubbin and would like some input outside of what i scrounge off autopia

i was thinking about just giving my car a quick winter refresher while the sun is out on monday with a wash and wax

wash->clay bar->HD cleanse-> wax

is that the proper way to go about it or do hd cleanse and clay bar overlap in some way? Also, as a gift someone gave me Zymol CREAME instead of Zymol CARBON, and so basically will it be pointless to use on a grey metallic car?

would it be ok then if i went from HD cleanse -> NXT 2.0 Tech Wax?

Here's a good read on HD Cleanse.

I would stick with the Zymol products. Why go to a fine dining restaurant for the appetizer, and then to a fast food place for the "Main Course"?

Zymol Carbon is optimized for dark colored cars, but if Creme is what you have you can use it without fear of automotive harm. Creme was actually Zymol's original wax when the product was first offered.

So how did it go? From what I read Zymol Hd cleanse does he same job as Meguir's cleaner wax. It a good prepping method before applying wax onto the car.
