Deep scratches in headlight...

before i resort to looking for a new headlight housing, i figured i would ask on here before anything...

there are some deep scratches on my passenger headlight... i have wet sanded and polished out other headlights that have become hazy and cloudy, but this seems like it may take a bit more than that... i am stumped on what to do with this... is there a point where i can't sand anymore before i start to affect the uv protection on the lights???

can i just try with a more aggressive paper to get everything level??? it doesn't look like it has cracked all the way through... thoughts??? and ill try to get some pics up tonight when i get home..

If you have sanded at all already you prolly took off the UV protection already ..

I have sanded lots of customer headlights and the next year I just add more sealant . None have shown any worse for wear.

yea haven't sanded that particular light yet, so i may give it a go... and see if i could at least minimize the scratches to a point where it won't bother me so much... right now it is just an 'ouch' every time i look at them...

if i have some time this weekend, i may try to tackle and take some pics while im at it...
