Complete List Of Supplies
Well, basically what it comes down to is that I want to do a complete exterior detail of my car.
All I have right now is some water from the trusty hose, some car was soap (Blue Coral something or other) and some wax (meguires gold class i believe, dunno the spelling).
I want to wash/clay/polish/wax/remove small scratches. So basically I need all those, and some good towels to use for it all. To me it seems like a lot of stuff but its probably not as bad as it seems, I jus twish that I Could get it all in a 'kit' so to speak, just all at once.
I'd like to buy it all online from the same place, and save on the shipping, and preferably not spend any more then $100, but something in me tells me that isnt very realistic. I guess a complete list of supplies would have to be:
Something to wash with (instead of a sponge or something)
Car soap (though I find what I have works well, so maybe not)
Clay Bar and some sort of lube
Scratch Remover
Polish
Wax
Microfiber Towels
Anything else? And suggestions on what to get would be great

Check out residualfreedom's groupbuy for some awesome prices (especially since the Canadian dollar is so cheap for you guys in the States!!)... he is an official a-tl vendor.. he also has a website with a bunch of other detailing products - including complete kits! i believe some of the products he carries are also currently on sale...
i just detailed my car last weekend with a bunch of products i got from him and the results are unbelievable!!!

Here are some cost effective products.
Car Wash:
Meguiar's Gold Class (~$10 at Target).
Meguiar's NXT Wash (~$5-7)
Mothers Cali Gold ($5 16oz)
Claybar:
Mother's Clay bar Kit ($15)
Scratch Removers and Polish:
Meguiar's Scratch X ($7)
Meguiar's Swirl Mark Remover ($10)
...the list goes on and on, these are 2 basics that I think are necessary (for mild scratches)
Wax:
S100 Carnuba ($15 @ Harley Dealership)
Meguiar's NXT ($14)
....list goes on and on.
Microfiber Towels:
Really good quality towels, I like www.pakshak.com
Here are a couple of vendor links that I've had great service with.
www.properautocare.com
www.autogeek.net
www.betterautocare.com (great articles about detailing)
Hope this helps
