Cleaning dashboard

I'm just curious how often I really need to put some dash protectant on my 07 TSX. I am figuring that it should probably be done now that it's getting warmer out. Are the dashboards pre treated from the factory to help with fading?

Thanks!

No help from factory built in, I do it once a month (you have to wipe the dust of anyway...), try some 303.

nothing is on there to prevent fading. Best thing to do is to put 303 aerospace protecant on it.

Your glass has a U.V inhibitor, other then that, your on your own.....Obviously lower latitudes should use more frequently, maybe every 4-6 weks or so. But go easy on whatever it is you use.

303 is a protectant with UV inhibitors. It's not just limited to interiors and can be used on a variety of surfaces like plastics, rubbers and vinyl to name a few. For interior cleaning, you have a few alternatives. Use a MF towel moistened with water to wipe down the interior, a diluted solution of Woolite/Water (15:1) will also work. Then follow with 303 every 4-6 weeks. For leather, you can use the woolite solution to clean or purchase a leather cleaner like Lexol, Duragloss or Zaino. After cleaning, you'll need to apply a conditioner. And depending on the environment, 4-6 weeks. Some perform the ritual more frequently than others and the times aren't set in stone, just use your judgement.

Oops, I forgot to mention when applying 303, do not spray directly on to the dash. Spray on a water moistened MF towel to apply. You'll have better results and prevents overspray.
