clay magic

i love clay magic but when i buy the kit that comes with clay lube and the clay, there is never enough lube for the clay to last. and i cant a seperate selling clay lube bottle. is there anything otu there i can use cause i cant find anymore unless i buy it all over again.

well i Read somewhere that you can use soap and water instead of lube...

You can really use any Quick Detailer for claying ---- Meguiar's, Mother's, etc. They sell those in a kit and individually as well... So just pick up a bottle that would normally come in the kit.
I've also heard that you can use car shampoo + water...

Yes, you don't have to use the lube to clay. What you can do is wash your car, don't dry it but instead, use your bucket of soap and water as a lube. That way, you don't have to worry about spending money on QD. I've been doing that the last few years and it doesn't cause any problems.

Soap and water works fine.. I've used it before. Also, any brand of quick-detailing spray will do.

I prefer using clay during my rinse cycle. You will find water works just fine as well. Its my belief, too much lube, is a bad thing......
